ALAN TENNANT, FRI

Alan Tennant knows Airdrie. Career, family and volunteer commitments have made him an Airdrie insider, a respected businessman and a recognized and awarded member of the community.

Alan started selling homes in 1985 and by 1990 was making his mark in the real estate industry as a director of the Calgary Real Estate Board and operating his own RE/MAX® franchise. By 1994 Alan was listed in the Who’s Who in Residential Real Estate in North America and in 1995 was named Calgary Real Estate Board REALTOR ® of the Year.

The successes, honors and accolades keep coming and in 2006 Alan was elected as the President of the Canadian Real Estate Association. Somehow finding time in between, Alan contributed selflessly to the community of Airdrie, receiving the Queen’s Gold Jubilee Medal in 2003 and named Airdrie’s Volunteer of the Year in 2006.

Never one to stand still – Alan takes up to three courses a year relating to the real estate industry, continues an active volunteer role in the community of Airdrie and has now created the successful Alan Tennant Team of REALTORS dedicated to providing good news on the home front.

MICHELLE CARRE

Michelle grew up in Airdrie and thanks to her family she experienced life in eight distinct communities in the City giving her a real insider’s knowledge of the different amenities Airdrie has to offer.

Michelle began her career at WestJet and her drive took her from an entry level position
to a corporate leader in instructional design. Her ingenuity led her to create leading edge
interactive training at WestJet that is to this day the definition of what an Instructional Designer is within the company.

Ready for a new challenge, Michelle joined The Alan Tennant Team in 2006 and brings a whole load of new ideas and a fresh perspective to real estate.

Coming from a company famous for customer service, Michelle is ready to exceed client expectations. She is always taking courses to enhance her real estate skills and knowledge and is fast becoming an active member of the Airdrie business community serving on the Airdrie Centennial Committee. MATT CARRE

Matt started a career in marketing with an amazing golf swing (he earned a golf scholarship to Southeastern Louisiana University majoring in Business Administration, Marketing). From there his route to real estate was through the Sherwin Williams Paint Company where he rose from training to operations manager. By 2001 Matt was the Southeastern United States Operation Manager of CDI Restoration a company that specialized in waterproofing and roofing.

Matt earned his real estate license in 2006 and joined The Alan Tennant Team in Airdrie where he is applying his extensive and varied background with the underlying belief that customers come first. “I have been very fortunate to have lived in a number of different places, worked in a wide variety of industries and positions and to have met so many different people from different backgrounds and locations.”

BRANDY COWEN

Brandy was born and raised east of Airdrie; her younger years were spent on an acreage in the Conrich/Chestermere area, and later moved to a farm in the Keoma/Irricana area. Still known to many as Brandy Builder, from her involvement in the 4-H program both as a member and volunteer. In 4-H, Brandy excelled at Public Speaking, raising livestock, and giving back to her community. All of those things she still carries with her today, by still living on the family farm, and being an active member in the local Ladies Club.

Her passion for helping others and working with the public started at a young age with various customer service jobs including working with the Calgary Exhibition & Stampede. After her attendance at Red Deer College, where she graduated with honors with a Legal Assistant Diploma, Brandy went on to work in Calgary at a Family Law Firm and later an International Law Firm working in the Litigation Department, were she was highly respected by her colleagues.

In 2007, Brandy became a REALTOR and joined RE/MAX Rocky View Real Estate with a desire to work with the general public and a passion to help people achieve their goals in life. As of a mother of two little ones, Georgia (3yrs) and Colby (1yr), she is a firm believer that honest hard work and a little creativity will generate results in your personal and business life!
